Strengthening Industry–Research Collaboration to Advance Regenerative Therapies in Australia

Phenomics Australia Strategic Partnerships Advisor Dr John Parisot, Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA)’s Dr Heather Donaghy, Director of Strategic Development, Cell & Gene Therapies and Small Molecule Pharmaceuticals and Bioplatforms Australia, Synthetic Biology Lead, Dr Darren Plett, were pleased to take part in the SMART CRC workshop in Brisbane.

This event brought together colleagues and partners from NCRIS capabilities across Australia. Discussions centred on strengthening industry engagement with national research infrastructure to accelerate the development of regenerative therapies.

Strong alignment between industry priorities and research capability remains critical to achieving impact at scale. It was encouraging to see a shared commitment among partners to practical collaboration and advancing translational outcomes.

” Great catching up with the SMART CRC crew to map out in detail how our NCRIS facilities can be accessed by our SMART CRC partners.” Dr Parisot, said.

Phenomics Australia values the opportunity to contribute to these conversations and looks forward to continuing its work with national and Queensland-based partners to support industry growth and research translation.
