We were very excited to have the team back together for the Phenomics Australia in-person meeting that was held at the University of Melbourne on Friday 25 November, to catch up and discuss how Phenomics Australia is moving forward together.
It was a fully-packed day of discussions and proposals with important contributions from our Phenomics Australia nodes, board members and Australian Government representatives from the Department of Education, in shaping Phenomics Australia’s evolving role and responsibilities within the national research infrastructure ecosystem.
The morning session enabled all Phenomics Australia nodes to develop a shared and current understanding of the established and newly expanded portfolio of Phenomics Australia’s services and expertise, their impact, and the collaboratively operational culture.
The afternoon session was a critically important and timely focus interactive workshop to discuss and develop Phenomics Australia’s response to the 2021 NRI Roadmap, as we anticipate an imminent invitation to submit new investment proposals to the government.
Phenomics Australia looks forward to continuing working together providing world-class infrastructure and expertise, collaborating for research excellence, and advocating and partnering for impact, to drive the discovery of the molecular basis of disease to benefit the health of all Australians and beyond.
