We were absolutely delighted to welcome a distinguished delegation of government officials from the Department of Education (DoE) on a special visit to Phenomics Australia’s state-of-the-art facilities on the 1st of September.
This visit represented a significant milestone in our ongoing endeavour to promote collaborative engagement, disseminate insights into our pioneering work and learn about Phenomics Australia activities as an example of inter and intra National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) investments and benefits.
The delegates got to learn from Phenomics Australia CEO, Prof Michael Dobbie, about the research going on in a “Clinic to Discovery” journey, from the patient to the treatment through all the stages Phenomics Australia provides expertise on, and the precision medicine basis underpinning it with several examples of our impact, including the NCRIS Health Group.
The delegates were also able to experience the diverse applications and impacts Phenomics Australia enables beyond health, including tackling environmental challenges addressing agricultural pests and invasive species, and contributing to managing biosecurity threats, Phenomics Australia’s influence spans across multiple domains.
Our dedicated and expert staff engaged in enlightening conversations with our visitors, about their career journeys and how they are using advanced genetics and precision medicine technologies to discover gene function for better health.
We extend a cordial invitation to our guests to return to our facilities in the near future, where we anticipate sharing even more groundbreaking developments to share and explore together. We look forward to their continuing interest in Phenomics Australia and NCRIS.
