EMBL Australia PhD Course applications are open until 15th June!

The 8th Annual EMBL Australia PhD Course, will be hosted at the Australian National University in Canberra, from 20th November to 1st December, 2023.

Now in its eighth year, the EMBL Australia PhD Course offers an incredible opportunity for first and second year life science PhD students to learn from some of the brightest and most inspiring scientists from around Australia, including Phenomics Australia’s Scientific Leader Dr Amee George!
This two-week course, modelled on the pre-doc training program at the prestigious European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), covers the latest ideas and advances in molecular biology and the life sciences. This year’s topics include: 

  • Advanced techniques in flow cytometry with Dr Michelle Boyle
  • Imaging concepts in cellular organisation and motility with Dr Steve Lee
  • Drug discovery and pre-clinical models with Dr Amee George
  • Physics for Biology with Dr Richard Morris
