We congratulate Phenomics Australia Scientific Leader Associate Professor Kaylene Simpson, who has received the Outstanding Leadership by Example Award from the VCCC Alliance.
This award recognises an individual with positive influence, commits to their own personal development, has strong ‘people-building’ skills and sees possibilities through the introduction of innovative practices and getting things achieved.
” Very proud to be awarded the inaugural VCCC Alliance award for leadership by example. I’ve been so fortunate to work with leaders who have helped shape my professional growth and I am so privileged to work with such a vast number of students, postdocs and group leaders, in a highly collaborative way. And, by the nature of my role, I’m often a sounding board for those who seek guidance and support. My own team, past and present have been the greatest pleasure to work with, their dedication, ambition, and hunger for knowledge have been my greatest motivation. I will continue to pay it forward, collaborate and support the next generation of scientists. ”
