As part of its sponsorship, Phenomics Australia supported the poster session, fostering in-depth discussions and valuable insights across the ASSCR community. Two esteemed Phenomics Australia Scientific Directors also contributed to the program with thought-provoking presentations. From our In Vitro genome engineering and disease modelling services, Prof. Alice Pebay, Head of the Stem Cell Disease Modelling Laboratory at the University of Melbourne, discussed the “Commercialisation of Regenerative Medicine in Australia,” emphasising ways to enhance the field’s commercial impact. From our Functional genomics and high-throughput screening services, Prof. Simon Barry, Head of Functional Genomics South Australia (FGSA) at the University of Adelaide, shared insights on CAR-T therapies in his talk, “Taking a CAR-T for Colorectal Cancer from R&D to a Phase ½ First-in-Human Trial: Push Through the Trees and the Woods Appear!”
