Phenomics Australia was delighted to participate in the RIC Morning Tea event hosted at the Australian National University (ANU) and organised by Research Infrastructure Connected (RIC).
This gathering occurred on Tuesday, August 26th, commencing at 10:00 am at The John Curtin School of Medical Research, ANU.
The morning tea provided an excellent opportunity to network, explore the various NCRIS facilities available at ANU, discover potential collaboration avenues, and celebrate each other’s accomplishments.
We were pleased to welcome Assistant Secretary Anthony Millgate, A/g Director NCRIS, Dr Isa Chan, and Director NRI Policy, Mr Chris Curran from the Australian Government Department of Education, and Professor Tim Senden, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure and Entities) at ANU. Their engagement and presence were greatly appreciated.
The Canberra NCRIS community, includes Phenomics Australia, Bioplatforms Australia, TIA, ACCESS-NRI, NCI, ARDC, Microscopy Australia, AuScope, ANFF, HIA, TERN, ALA, AAF, and the APPN, among others.
Great chats, delicious snacks, and a fantastic atmosphere. We extend our gratitude to the RIC team for orchestrating this gathering of NCRIS facilities.
Visitors were also able to tour key Phenomics Australia facilities, including the ANU Centre for Therapeutic Discovery, where cutting-edge approaches to drug development were showcased, and the Biomolecular Resource Facility (BRF) supported by Bioplatforms Australia.
Delegates gained insights into the wide-ranging impact of Phenomics Australia’s work, spanning human health, environmental challenges, agricultural pest and invasive species control, and the management of biosecurity risks. Our infrastructure and expertise continue to drive innovation across these diverse fields.
They also had the opportunity to connect with our knowledgeable staff, who shared their career journeys and highlighted how advanced genetics and precision medicine technologies are being harnessed to uncover gene function and improve health outcomes.
We warmly invite our guests to return in the near future as we continue to advance and share groundbreaking developments. We look forward to their ongoing interest in Phenomics Australia and in the broader NCRIS ecosystem.
