Phenomics Australia is proud to congratulate SMART CRC on their successful application in Round 25 of the CRC Grants Program—an incredible achievement officially announced by Ed Husic MP.

As a proud partner, Phenomics Australia is excited to be part of this game-changing national initiative that brings together 63 partners and a coordinated investment of $238 million to transform Australia’s regenerative-therapy manufacturing landscape.

The SMART CRC will grow Australia’s manufacturing capacity to produce life-changing regenerative therapies at scale, and accelerate the development of curative treatments for cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, and other age-related conditions. This national initiative will create jobs and train a future-ready workforce, reduce pressure on our health system by enabling access to world-leading therapies locally, and ultimately keep Australians healthier for longer.

With a coordinated investment of $238 million, the SMART CRC unites 63 partners—including manufacturers, SMEs, universities, suppliers, and government agencies. By bringing together top scientists, engineers, and clinical researchers from leading universities and medical research institutes, we will bridge the gap between cutting‑edge research and real‑world applications, accelerating innovation in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Together, we will build a cohesive, collaborative regenerative‑therapy manufacturing ecosystem, removing the bottlenecks that limit patient access to the health innovations they need.
