Australia’s national research infrastructure program offers an extensive range of resources, technologies, and expertise to support MND research, from discovering disease targets and understanding disease mechanisms to advancing therapeutic development. Phenomics Australia plays a key role in bioengineering, characterising, and biobanking pre-clinical models of disease, helping drive genome-based Precision Medicine. This work is supported by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
In this seminar, held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, 12pm AEDT, you’ll learn what infrastructure, tools, and services are available to researchers and how to access them for your work.
A new proposal to develop a national stem cell resource and data infrastructure for MND will also be introduced. This initiative aims to integrate stem cell lines, clinical data, and multi-omic datasets into a unified national resource. By linking patient-derived iPS cell models with detailed clinical histories and molecular data, this platform will support improved disease modelling, patient stratification, and more effective translational research and clinical trials.
