This year’s conference theme, “Biobanking Evolving Through Time,” brings together biobankers, biospecimen scientists, researchers, and industry leaders from across the globe. The program is packed with expert presentations, special interest group meetings, rapid fire talks, elevator pitches, poster sessions, and hands-on workshops—designed to foster professional growth and showcase innovation in biospecimen science and biobanking technology.
We’re also thrilled to share that Ms Nathalie Doucet, Australian Phenome Bank Manager at the Phenomics Australia Australian Phenome Bank (APB)at ANU, is an invited speaker at the conference. Her presentation, “Australian Phenome Bank integrated solution for sample tracking and data management”, will showcase how the APB database captures all data produced by the laboratory team. It will illustrate how the database forms a comprehensive system that links mouse IDs with individual barcodes for samples, seamlessly integrated into our inventory system.

Supported by Phenomics Australia, the Australian Phenome Bank (APB) is both a physical repository and a database of genetically modified mouse strains used in medical research in Australia. The APB operates as a national infrastructure partnership between The Australian National University (ANU) and Monash University (Monash) and provides essential banking and distribution of mouse strains in Australia and worldwide. The services of cryopreservation, storage, reanimation, distribution and importation are streamlined into packages to lower costs and protect research.
