The Pluripotent Stem Cell Culture Workshop at the Phenomics Australia node, the iPSC Gene Editing Facility, was held across 3 consecutive afternoons from the 6th to the 8th May at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
This workshop was designed to teach essential techniques for working with human pluripotent stem cells and a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in stem cell culture techniques. During the hands-on practical sessions, 17 participants were able to develop their skills in passaging, freeze/thawing, identifying and removing differentiated cells and handling challenging cell lines.
Participants came from a range of institutions, including MCRI, UNSW, CSIRO, the University of Melbourne, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and RMIT.
