Your opportunity to inform national priorities and investments in the provision of research infrastructure for Health Discovery and Translation.
Every five years, the Australian Government consolidates and renews its investment policy and priorities for the provision of National Research Infrastructure (NRI), which includes research capabilities for Precision Medicine and Functional Genomics for Australian researchers.
Those strategic priorities and policies are set out in the NRI Roadmap, and the 2021 NRI Roadmap is currently being shaped and will inform national investment decisions.
Phenomics Australia invites all members of the research community and others to work with us to help map research infrastructure needs as we progress our vision for health discovery and translation.
Phenomics Australia is supporting the federal Department of Education, Skills, and Employment to produce the 2021 NRI Roadmap. We invite you to help us ensure advancing the fundamental understanding of health and disease and enabling next-generation innovations in health care and therapeutic development for research in Australia is sufficiently resourced. Phenomics Australia is a strong voice during the process, and we support the 2021 NRI Roadmap Expert Working Group during the consultation phase to set out Australia’s research infrastructure capability and future areas of need for the next five to ten years.
Now is the time to get involved if you wish to contribute insights and considerations to improve the ability of Australia to effectively, efficiently, and sustainably support biomedical researchers and clinicians to discover the genetic drivers of human disease.
The NRI Roadmap needs and trends consultation was conducted earlier this year, and the next phases will call for, and test, ideas to solve current and projected needs.
